Teams

An exciting addition to the Manchester City Marathon and Half Marathon is the Team Event. Running the same course as the Marathoners and Half Marathoners. Teams with the best overall time receive cash awards! Grab your co-workers, friends or family and form a team to run in the inaugural event!

 

Starting time:
Teams will begin at 8:50 a.m. at Athlete's Village (Veterans Park) on Elm Street. Please note the unique start time. New Hampshire's own WMUR-news 9 will broadcast live at the starting line. The Marathon and Half Marathon route will start at the same time and run along the same course. The entire route captures the essence of Manchester and all that it has to offer.

 

Team Rules:

Teams must consist of a minimum of five members and must be associated with a registered running club, company, or non-profit organization. Team results will be based on the average time of each team's three top runners.

 

Not Allowed on the Course: No bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards, wagons or motorized vehicles. No dogs. No unregistered runners.

 

Water Stops:
Water Stops are sponsored by supporters of the Manchester City Marathon. Run past them as the cheer you on and encourage you throughout the course. Water stops will be at miles 3,5, 7,9,11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 and 25.

 

Finish Line:
Run to the finish at Athlete's Village where you will be greeted by family and friends.

 

Prize Money:

Marathon Teams, Women
First Place: $750; Second Place: $500; Third Place: $300

Half Marathon Teams, Women
First Place: $500; Second Place: $250; Third Place: $100
